After my first year in Nashville God opened up another unique opportunity that never in my wildest dreams would I imagine I would be a part of. A friend of mine is a missionary and needed help with the ‘face’ of her ministry. I had an old graphic design program on my computer and thought to myself, ‘ how hard could this be… I’ll give it a go.’ So I designed my first flier and email newsletter EVER! For the sake of everyone I did not include that in my portfolio. But, it gave me a taste for an aspect of creativity that I would never have explored hadn’t it been for a need that I desired to meet. From there God developed this skill. In a year I had a new computer, the latest software and clients and didn’t spend a single dollar on any of it. God was clearing a path for me and it was very clear.
Today I am serving as not only a musician but also a graphic designer. I have focused on albums, DVDs, and posters. I have also created fliers, t-shirts, and other designs geared towards music artists. It has been a blast learning this trade and with this I also look forward to what God has in the future.
